Palm Beach Dyno is a performance company built around one simple idea: the entire combination matters. The engine, transmission, fuel system, cooling system, calibration, suspension, tire, and driver all have to work together.
That philosophy drives everything we do. From custom tuning and performance parts to complete turn-key builds, remote tuning, dyno development, and track support, Palm Beach Dyno brings decades of real-world experience to every vehicle we touch.
We don't just want your car to make a number.
We want it to work.
Palm Beach Dyno was founded by Ken Bjonnes in 2016 — but the story began much earlier.
Ken has been involved in electronic fuel injection and performance tuning since the early days of modern Ford flash tuning. His previous company, Modular Depot, was one of the first SCT dealers in the country when SCT launched in 2004. His career later included development work with DiabloSport and tuning with Lund Racing before he launched Palm Beach Dyno.
Those years coincided with a massive transformation in automotive performance — cars went from relatively simple engine controllers to sophisticated systems controlling torque, throttle, boost, camshaft position, fuel pressure, transmission operation, thermal protection, traction management, and hundreds of other strategies. PBD grew up with that technology.
Just as importantly, much of that knowledge was developed outside the office — years spent at racetracks, supporting racers, competing ourselves, testing combinations, breaking parts, solving problems, and constantly analyzing data.
Theory matters. Data matters more. Results matter most.
Palm Beach Dyno built its reputation in the Ford performance world. From the early modular engines through every generation of the Coyote, EcoBoost, Shelby GT500, GT350, F-150, Raptor, Raptor R, Bronco, Explorer ST, Ranger Raptor, Super Duty and the latest S650 Mustang platforms, our team has spent years learning not only how these vehicles make power, but how their increasingly complex control systems actually work.
When tuning became available for the newest generation of Ford vehicles, PBD was among the shops immediately performing real-world development — extensive dyno testing and methodical calibration development, rather than simply assuming strategies from previous generations would carry over.
Explore PBD TuningWe don't want to be the shop that knows which tables to change.
We want to understand why they need to be changed.
The same approach that built Palm Beach Dyno's reputation in the Ford world is increasingly being applied to other advanced performance platforms — today including the C8 Corvette Z06 and ZR1.
In early development with the new C8 ZR1, Palm Beach Dyno remotely calibrated a vehicle in North Carolina while operating from Florida — working through the sophisticated factory control strategies of the new LT7 platform.
One of the biggest advantages of working with Palm Beach Dyno is that we see much more than one piece of the equation.
And when something doesn't work the way it should, we learn from that too. That experience influences the products we recommend and the combinations we build — from a relatively simple bolt-on street car to supercharger and twin-turbo systems, fuel systems, transmission and drivetrain solutions, engine combinations, serialized PBD performance packages, and complete turn-key builds.
The goal is to build the right combination for what the customer actually wants to accomplish.
Long before remote work became normal, performance cars were already being built thousands of miles away from the people best qualified to tune them. Palm Beach Dyno embraced remote tuning early and has spent years refining the process.
Today we tune vehicles around the country and around the world using datalogging, remote calibration tools, dyno sessions, and direct trackside support. A PBD customer doesn't have to live in South Florida to have access to our tuning experience — street datalogging, a local dyno facility, or PBD's Remote Trackside Support for more advanced, competitive vehicles.

The laptop may be thousands of miles away.
The tuner doesn't have to feel that way.
There is a major difference between making something work on a dyno and making it work everywhere. Palm Beach Dyno has been involved with everything from daily-driven street cars to four-digit-horsepower builds and seven-second race cars.
The dyno is one of our tools. It isn't the finish line.
We are combining decades of hands-on performance experience with modern software, data, and AI — because we believe technology should make expertise easier to access, not replace it.
