Even high-quality aftermarket components may require modification, repositioning, additional brackets, clearance changes, custom mounting, wiring solutions, sensor mounting, heat management, plumbing changes, or integration with other components. Some projects involve combinations that have never been assembled before — that's where fabrication becomes part of vehicle development.

The faster and more complex the vehicle becomes, the less likely every solution will come from a catalog.

Design Before We Cut

Palm Beach Dyno uses CAD design and 3D modeling to develop custom parts and solve packaging problems. CAD lets us design components precisely, evaluate fitment, control dimensions, develop complex shapes, compare design revisions, create repeatable parts, and prepare designs for CNC machining or outside manufacturing — moving from an idea to a physical prototype quickly.

Sometimes the best fabrication tool starts with a mouse, not a welder.

3D Printing & Rapid Prototyping

From Idea to Physical Part Quickly

Palm Beach Dyno uses 3D printing as a practical engineering and development tool — not simply decorative printing. It's used for prototype parts, test-fit components, brackets, mounting solutions, templates, fixtures, electronics enclosures, sensor mounts, ducting concepts, tooling, and low-volume functional components where appropriate.

Because PBD also installs, tunes, dyno tests, and drives the vehicles we develop, we can evaluate much more than whether a component simply fits — physical fitment, strength, heat exposure, clearance, serviceability, dyno testing, datalogging, track testing, and real-world driving.

Once a design has been tested and validated, Palm Beach Dyno can work with trusted manufacturing partners to move the component into final production. Depending on the application, that could involve:

Certain projects require equipment, certification, experience, or scale that doesn't make sense to duplicate inside PBD — things like roll cages, chassis fabrication, highly specialized welding, advanced machining, production manufacturing, specialized coatings, or large-scale fabrication. For these, Palm Beach Dyno works with trusted partners in the area and within our industry.

The goal isn't to say we did every operation ourselves. The goal is to make sure every operation is done by the right person.
